USD1.3 million to light up Danang International Firework Contest this April

Da Nang authorities have just published a detailed plan for organizing Da Nang International Firework Contest 2012 (DIFC 2012), which is projected to take place on April 29 and 30, said the People Committee of Danang City.

This year contest is held with main theme of “Danang’s Colors”, with the participation of 4 teams: Vietnam, Canada (champion of 2008), China (champion of 2009) and France (champion of 2010). The location for the event is the poetic Han River as usual.

Besides main activity, the firework shooting, various additional events are prepared for visitors to enjoy the uproarious atmosphere of the festival. Some of them are street art performances, cuisine exchange festival, fashion show and flower-boat marches.

This year contest is first time guests are able to watch magnificent firework shows from tourism boats with maximum fare of VND300, 000 per ticket.

Besides support from the government, DIFC 2012 is sponsored by about 24 companies all over Vietnam, with total amount of VND28 billion (USD13 million), including 20 billion in cash and the others in tangible products such as hotel accommodation or flight tickets.

Da Nang International Firework Contest is annual international firework contest with the main purpose to create a place for firework shooting teams all over the world to meet and exchange experience with each other, as well as dedicate awesome fireworks performances to firework followers. Last year contest attracted 5 teams, and Parente from Italy is the winner with perfect performances name “Life of the River”.
