The number of Russian tourists to Vietnam increases significantly
A recent report from The Voice of Russia (VOR) indicates that Russia has jumped 14 stages to claim the 11th position on the list of countries that have the highest numbers of travelers to Vietnam in the first half of 2012.
In detail, there are 87,000 Russian coming to Vietnam in the first five months of 2012. In June alone, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa Province) welcomed more than 2,500 Russian visitors.
Explaining this massive increase, VOR said that the tension in the Middle East or Fukushima nuclear breakdown could be the reasons. Favored destinations of Russian such as Turkey, Tunisia or Japan have become insecure to visit, making Vietnam an ideal alternative.
In addition, the effort of tourism companies in both countries is also regarded as a reason that helps attracting more Russian to Vietnam with more direct routes between Russia and Vietnam has been opened. A Russian village established in Mui Ne Resort (Binh Thuan) is another breakthrough of the corporation between the two countries.
