Dalat’s 4th Flower Festival will be held during the six days from December 30, 2011 to January 4, 2012. The main festival is planned to locate at Dalat main square with the opening ceremony on December 31 and closing ceremony on January 4.

There will be activities on the main theme of flowers such as honoring florists and flower production technology as well as tourism and sport activities such as conquering Lang-Bian Mountain. Dalat Flower Festival will be hosted by Lam Dong province, inviting both domestic and foreign units. Apart from 7 billions VND state funding, there is an estimated funding of 13 billions raised from the public.

The festival encourages participation of the larger population to promote the cultural-social aspect of this event, introducing and honoring the city of flower as well as florists. Last year, Dalat Flower Festival took place in January 2010 and set to accentuate October 10th event - when Hanoi celebrated its 1000 years birth and prosperity.
