Caricature Painting Exhibition in Hanoi

Exhibition House at 16 Ngo Quyen (Hanoi) is familiar address for fine art lovers. From July 26th to August 5th, 2011, hundreds of caricature works drawn by many Vietnamese painters are on display here. Caricature paintings are not only drawn to make the watcher laugh out loud, but it is an effective press tool to reflect deeply the contemporary life with typical social, cultural and political issues in a humorous and sarcastic way.

Hence, watching these paintings does not only bring to you relaxation but also useful and interesting message through the painter’s contemplation and expression. Caricature paintings have been known widely and favored in Western countries for a long time; however most of Vietnamese have not been familiar with this kind of fine art.

Therefore, the exhibition is a good chance for both Vietnamese and foreigners enjoy the contemporary fine art of Vietnam, and especially, understand more about current Vietnam society.
