Beethoven concert in Ho Chi Minh City

With the purpose to promote the world masterpieces by the legendary German composer Ludwig van Beethoven to the local audiences, Goethe Institute in Vietnam has organized free concert series called The Beethoven Symphony Project in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

With the purpose to promote the world masterpieces by the legendary German composer Ludwig van Beethoven to the local audiences, Goethe Institute in Vietnam has organized free concert series called The Beethoven Symphony Project in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. With the participation of famed international and Vietnamese artists, the concerts were well received by the public last year, and highly expected to come back. 

 
In this festive season, The Beethoven Symphony Project is back to Ho Chi Minh City with two concerts, performed by talented local artists such as violin soloist Ho Dang Hoi, cello soloist Nguyen Tan Anh, led by conductor Do Kien Cuong.

The concert features masterpieces by Beethoven like The Creatures of Prometheus, Romance in F Major, and four movements of Symphony No.2 in D Major. Besides, two symphonies by Do Kien Cuong: Về Làng (Return Home) for violin, cello & orchestra, and Biến Khúc ‎Lý Ngựa Ô (Ly Ngua O Vatiations) for strong orchestra, are going on stage.
 
The concert is going to debut at Saigon Technology University, 180 Cao Lo Street, District 8 on 21 December 2011; while the second night of the concert is taking place at the Cultural Center of District 11, 179 ABCD Binh Thoi Street, Ward 9. 
 
Admission is free for everyone.
