Asian Youth Orchestra Performing at Hanoi Opera House
The annual concert of The Asian Youth Orchestra, which consists of 100 best music students in Asia chosen annually, will take place in Hanoi Opera House on August 15th and 16th, 2011. It is a golden chance for audiences in Hanoi to soar with musical masterpieces like “Carnival Overture” by Dvorak, “Symphony No. 2” by Rachmaninoff, “Symphony No. 1” by Prokofiev, “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso” by Camille Saint-Saëns, and “Symphony No. 4” by Tchaikovsky.
Besides, the American solo violist Stefan Jackiw will join the orchestra, under the baton of two conductors James Judd and Richard Pontzious, promising an awesome orchestra concert. Cellist Nguyen Thanh Tu and obist Nguyen Hoang Tu of the Vietnam National Music Academy are honored to be two Vietnamese representatives joining in this grand performance.
Since 1990, 307 concerts have been performed by the orchestra in Aisa, Europe, Us and Australia and on renowned television channels like CNN, NHK, Star TV. This concert is notable part of a three-week international tour of Asian Youth Orchestra, highly expected by classical music lovers in Hanoi.
