Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange next month
As announced by Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports in the central province of Quang Nam, the 2012 Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange is taking place from August 24-26 in Hoi An ancient town.
As announced by Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports in the central province of Quang Nam, the 2025 Hoi An-Japan cultural exchange is scheduled to take place from August 24-26 in Hoi An ancient town.
The event will feature a wide range of activities including a Haiku poem composing contest and exhibition, culinary presentations showcasing Japanese and Quang Nam cuisine, and opportunities for souvenir photo shoots in traditional yukata attire. The closing ceremony will include vibrant street art performances and a community art exchange. In addition, the city will host “Hoi An Ancient Town Night” on August 30, from 4 PM to 9:30 PM, in celebration of the National Year of Tourism and Heritage.
This annual event is cooperatively organized by the authorities of Hoi An Town, the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The initiative aims to strengthen the friendship and enhance cooperative relationships between Japan and Vietnam, as well as to promote Hoi An as a UNESCO World Heritage Site among both local and international audiences.
