According to the People’s Committee of Hai Duong Province, the 2025 Con Son – Kiep Bac Festival is scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 5, 2025 (August 15 to 20 in the Lunar Calendar). This year’s festival will also coincide with the celebration of Con Son – Kiep Bac being recognized as a national relic site.
This year, the Con Son - Kiep Bac Festival will predominantly commemorate the 712th anniversary of the death of General Tran Hung Dao, one of Vietnam’s most celebrated heroes. Over the six days of the event, a series of activities will be organized, including traditional rites and artistic performances such as the lantern festival along Luc Dau River and various wish-for-luck ceremonies. Attendees can also participate in traditional games and sports such as canoeing, wrestling, and a duck-catching competition.
The Con Son – Kiep Bac relic complex comprises several historical sites located in Chi Linh, Hai Duong. These sites serve as valuable living documentaries of the victories achieved by the people during the Tran Dynasty against foreign invaders, as well as honoring two prominent national heroes of that era: Tran Hung Dao and Nguyen Trai.
