Hanoi University of Technology (HUT) was established in October 1956 with the main purpose to train engineers and technicians for the country. Along 55 years since the school was opened, it has become one of the top technical university in Vietnam, which provides hundreds of technicians to the labor force annually.

This is also a national university that possesses a huge campus with modern infrastructure, including about 200 lecture rooms, 200 laboratories, libraries, studying zone and sport court to serve education and leisure demand for its staff and students. HUT is also a workplace of 399 professors and vice-professors, 703 doctors and 1200 Masters and many other experienced lecturers in various areas of technology.
