World Belly Dance to be celebrated in Hanoi

On Saturday 12 May 2012, Aspara Dance Studior, holds a belly dance (accordingly to the second World Belly Dance taking place at 101 cities all over the world), at Pico Mall, No. 229 Tay Son Street, Hanoi from 10:00 – 11:00 am.

The event promises to be a spectacular extravaganza of dance, beautiful costumes and exotic music. Following the success of last year’s event, this year the organizer add kid-oriented dancing programs including zumba, Hip-hop, jazz. Visitors will also have a chance to learn belly dancing tips from gurus and buy accessories for this artistic sport. The funds raised during the event will be donated to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, a well-established non-governmental organization that seeks to reach out to underprivileged in Vietnam.

World Belly Dance is an effort by Shimmy Mob, a club of belly dance enthusiasts to elevate belly dance to a higher standard and show the general public that this is a true art form. Aspara Dance Studio is one of the leading figures in the belly dance scene in Hanoi, and its 2011 international belly dance event was generally well-received by dancing lovers.
