Ho Chi Minh City

This weekend Ho Chi Minh City will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. The temperature has cooled off quickly, with the heat index ranging from 31-32 Degrees. There’s a chance of showers mainly in the afternoon. Don’t forget the concert “Autumn Melodies 2012” which is held for 3 consecutive nights from 17^th to 19^th August at HCMC Opera House. Alternatively, don’t forget the exhibition “Collisions of Clamor and Calm” at Galery Quynh, which displays somber painting celebrating the resilience of human spirit.

Danang

This weekend Danang will experience isolated thunderstorms early, then cloudy skies after midnight. Although the heat index ranges from 33-36 Degree Celsius and chance of precipitation just hovers around 30%. Hoi An – Japan Cultural Exchange Next Month

The 2012 Hoi An – Japan cultural exchange will take place from August 24-26 in the ancient town of Hoi An. The event will feature a wide variety of activities such as a Haiku poem composing contest and exhibition, Japanese and Quang Nam food presentations and souvenir photo shoots with yukata.

Air France offers discounted price for flights from Vietnam to Paris

The promotion program is applied to all three types of cabins on the flights which have departure dates between September 1 and December 15. The price is discounted to a starting point of USD1,069 for economy class, USD1,647 for premium voyagers and USD3,239 for business class.

UK Film Festival in 5 cities of Vietnam

The UK Film Festival organized by British Council will take place in 5 cities of Vietnam, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Hai Phong and Danang City from August 29 to September 11, 2012. Presented during the festival are film masterpieces of the UK cinema industry during the period 1960-2010.

Craft Fair to be held in Nam Dinh Province

The annual craft village fair 2012 is scheduled to take place from September 25 to 30 at Hoa Binh Square, Nam Dinh Province. Like previous years, this year’s fair mainly concentrates on introducing crafts and honoring craftsmen from various regions all over Vietnam.
