Visitors staying in Hanoi to reach 3.96 million first 5 months

According to Hanoi People Committee, the total number of travelers accommodating in Hanoi has reached 3.96 million for the first 5 months of 2012, marked a 10% increase compared to same period last year.

A majority of these visitors are domestic travelers which rose by 8.7% over the same period last year to reach 3.23 million. The number of international travelers came to Hanoi increased by 20%, which is accounted for anumber of 736,000 people. This growth is considered a great success of tourism industry in Hanoi, particularly in this difficult time of global economy.  

Hanoi is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Vietnam, welcoming millions of travelers from all over the world a year. Hanoi is unique for its culture and traditional features, the combination of elite in different eras along history. Some of the city most visited attractions are the Old Quarter, Long Bien Bridge and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
