Hanoi
From the beginning of this week, the weather in Hanoi was exactly what people had expected for Tet Holiday with low temperature and drizzling rain. With additional influences of Northeast monsoon, the temperature continues to be low in the next days ranging around 13 – 18Celsius Degree. However, it seems that there will be less cloudy these days, and sunshine is expected to heat the ground a little.

Da Nang
The weather in Da Nang is identical to the weather in Hanoi, except the fact it is much warmer. Temperature is kept ideally at about 23 – 27Celsius Degree with high rate of humidity at roughly 88%. This weather might facilitate travelers who intend to travel around as rain would stop sunshine is promised to be nice.

Ho Chi Minh City
In contrast to Hanoi and Da Nang, people in Ho Chi Minh City should be careful when going out as major weather condition next days might be rainy at any time. The rain and humidity is at about 83% with the temperature ranging from 23 – 33Celsius Degree might prevent tourist’s plans from being carried out. Umbrella is a best companion this time.

1. New Year festivals in the North of Vietnam
The beginning period of Lunar New Year is the time of festivals when a lot of traditional events are organized all over Vietnam. In the North, people from different regions in Vietnam have participated in three of largest festivals in this area during the month, including Lim Festival, Yen Tu Festival and Huong Pagoda Festival which have just started this week.
2. Number of tourist increases by 40% in the beginning of 2012
Although global economic recession is taking place everywhere over the world, Vietnam tourism records a massive rise of 40% in number of travellers (both domestic and international) compared to the same period last year.
Ha Long is on top of the most visited destination at this time by foreigners, proven by the fact that room occupancy rate in many accommodation places of this charming bay reach 100%. Other most attractive destinations such as Sapa, Da Nang, Mui Ne and NhaTrang show 85-90% of room occupancy rate.
3. New promotion with VietJet Air : Hanoi – HCMC for only USD28
It seems the storm of promotion from new airline VietJet Air not going to stop as it continuesoffering new promotion campaign for Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City routes with only USD 28. The discounted price is applied for all tickets purchased via VietJet Air’s website on February 3rd and 4th with departure date from March 1st to April 25th. This could be a new step of this young airline to effectively penetrate into low-cost aviation market in Vietnam.
