Hanoi

It is a sad new to travellers in Hanoi, who desire to have an outdoor trip this weekend since the weather does not support them. The temperature does not appear as a problem, ranging from 20 – 23 Degree Celsius during day time, yet rain is truly an obstacle. Though the rain in the next 3 days is not heavy but enough to wet roads and blanket the sky with a sorrow color. Going out with an umbrella or a raincoat is highly recommended.

Da Nang

Weather in Da Nang at this weekend can be described great enough for travellers to visit attractions around the city, except one thing that there could be a slightly rainy Sunday. Bright sunshine heats the city, raising the average temperature level to around 25 Degree Celsius.

Ho Chi Minh City

The temperature in this city is as high as usual at approximately 34 Degree Celsius, but the humidity slightly decreases to 70%. However, while the weather in Friday and Saturday is great with sunshine, Sunday and next Monday seem not to be ideal for travelling because of heavy rain that might last all day.

1. State-owned aviation corporation Vietnam Airlines has implemented new promotion on routes from Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) to Europe and Northeast Asia. The deal lasts from now until March 31st with massive discount rate in many routes, such as 46% for HCMC – London trip (only US$699), or 39% for HCMC – Moscow flights (US$700). Passengers to cities in Northeast Asia are also beneficial from this promotion with only $499 for round ticket from HCMC to Seoul, or $480 round trip from HCMC-Tokyo.

2. Information from National Administration of Tourism reports that number of foreign travellers visiting Vietnam in January is about 630,000 people. This number marks an increase of 6.2% in the quantity of tourists compare to December 2011, as well as 24.8% compare to the same month last year.

3. In order to facilitate traveler freely visit various attractions in the ancient town of Hoi An, local tourism administrators of this city has extended time for pedestrian road to six days per week. There are three main shifts that roads at ancient town of Hoi An are spent for pedestrians and non-engine vehicles, including 8:00 – 11:00am; 2:00 – 4:30pm and 6:30 – 9:00pm. In addition, Hoi An has also initiated its project installing Wi-fi access points to provide free Internet in tourism areas for better serving travellers coming to this allured town.
