Vietnam Days to be held in Italy

President of the Florence province in Italy, Andrea Barducci, has confirmed the decision to organize “Vietnam’s Days in Florence” in October this year after his meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Hoang Long.

During the meeting, Barducci and Long discussed measures to boost economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries and prepare activities to mark the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic tie in 2013.

Barducci said Florence always supports and wants to enhance cooperation with Vietnam in all fields, especially in education and tourism. He also added that as one of fashion hubs in Italy and Europe, Florence would provide scholarships for Vietnamese students to study fashion design.

Ambassador Long said he will work closely with Florence authorities to prepare for the “Vietnam’s Days in Florence” and a Vietnamese chamber of commerce is expected to open in the province on September 16 this year.
