The world heritage sites in Vietnam through lens of photographers

As one of many programs, activities to celebrate the Independence Day, September 2nd, a grand photo exhibition titled “The World Heritage Sites in Vietnam” composing 206 finest pictures has opened in Da Nang.

As one of many programs, activities to celebrate the Independence Day, September 2nd, a grand photo exhibition titled “The World Heritage Sites in Vietnam” composing 206 finest pictures has opened in Da Nang.

The photos which are on display have been selected thoroughly from more than 2000 ones taken by 282 Vietnamese and foreign photographers. After six month collecting and assessing works of arts sent to the contest, the organization board picked up the most truthful, lively, and impressive ones to display in this exhibition.

The visitors are able to capture the very essence of eleven tangible and intangible world heritage sites in Vietnam, namely Hue imperial citadel, Ha Long Bay, My Son holly land, Hoi An ancient town, Thang Long imperial citadel, Phong Nha – Ke Bang national park, Cong Chieng Tay Nguyen cultural space, Hue Royal Court Music, Ca tru, Quan ho Bac Ninh, and Giong festival. Nice photos full of emotion surely bring the watchers an amazing “photo trip” stretching the whole country as well as inspire love and pride in Vietnamese people.

According to Mr. Vi Kien Thanh, the Head of Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition as well as the head organizer of this exhibition, besides collected and published in a picture book, these photos will be presented in exhibitions in foreign countries, known as part of Vietnam tourism promotion program.

This photo exhibition is to take place in Da Nang Fine Art Museum from August 30th to September 6th, then in Exhibition Center of Fine Arts and Photograph (No. 29 Hang Bai street), Hanoi from October 10th to October 17th.
