Plastic model exhibition to be held by Japanese artists in Hanoi

The well-known Japanese artistic group named Paramodel projects to hold an exhibition of plastic model at Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Hanoi from February 17th to March 11th, 2012.

Exposed at this exhibition are plastic toys of Japan and Vietnam which are arranged to reflect specific messages at a large space. In addition to the plastic model, other multimedia channels such as video, picture and photography are used to support the messages.

The exhibition is expected to bring about a new look to all visitors on plastic toys, as well as express the artists’ perspective on different aspects of life, especially paradox in modern society. Moreover, these popular toys might also recall visitors of great memories of their childhood.

Paramodel is an art group created by Hayashi Yasuhiko and Nakano Yusuke in 2011, which focuses on installation art, especially plastic toys art. The name “Paramodel” is integrated from three words” Paradise, Paradox and Model”, which refer to the mission of the group: to express life, both happiness and paradox by models.
