More domestic flights to meet increasing public demand

As announced by Vietnam Airlines representatives on July 12, the national flag carrier of Vietnam is launching additional flights on 16 domestic routes from nowto August 5. 

On peak days, the airline operates 68 flights from or to Danang, 28 flights from or to Nha Trang, 20 from or to Phu Quoc and 16 to Da Lat. Over the summer season the Hanoi - Danang route has 210 extra flights laid on. 

Low-cost carriers Jetstar Pacific and Air Mekong are also adding more flights from HCM City and Hanoi to tourist hotspots all over the country to meet the surge in demand for air travel, particularly on weekends. 

Jetstar Pacific announced on July 12 that it would operate 48 other flights to Danang from the country’s two airline hubs, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in July, the peak month in the holiday season, with the additional services running from Thursdays through to Sundays. 

The newest budget carrier in Vietnam, Air Mekong has also increased its weekly flights between Hanoi and Phu Quoc to 10 and between HCM City and Con Dao to 12.
