Like its name, the exhibition tells true stories about fatigued life of Vietnamese single mothers through 100 photos taken by the single moms themselves.
Main characters in these pictures are 18 single mothers in Tan Minh commune, Soc Son, Hanoi who are struggling against the prejudice of the society and their deep senses of insecurity. The exhibition is expected to evoke the sympathy of viewers for single mothers in Vietnam as well as remove the prejudice and discrimination of the mass to this group.

Ms Chien, a single mother working hard to earn a living

Being a single mother is not a new issue but still a controversial topic in Vietnam. A number of people suppose that single mothers are courageous while many others are more conservative. In recent years, being single mother is more popular in big cities in Vietnam and single mothers in urban areas seem to receive more sympathy from the society than those who live in the countryside.
