Hue Festival 2012 to feature foreign performers

Hue Festival is coming back to the old royal city this April with participation of numerous professional performers, both native and from 24 other foreign art troupes of 14 different countries all over the world.

Hue Festival is coming back to the old royal city this April with participation of numerous professional performers, both native and from 24 other foreign art troupes of 14 different countries all over the world. 

 
Three troupes from the Republic of France, the traditional partner of Hue Festival, that are Ego, Carabosse and Combo Box will bring to this year festival some soulful Jazz, impressive fire and inspirable street performances. 
 
The festival, which has been themed “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development – The Rendezvous of Historical Cities” attracts participation of many Eastern Asian artists such as Bathiholic troupe from Japan, and GuGak from Korea. Latin American artists will also perform in the festival for the first time.

Hue Festival 2012 is the 7th annual, lasting for one week from April 7th to 15th, 2012. Besides familiar programs such as the Night of Royal, Ao Dai Festival, the Night of Orient, this year’s festival features “Thiên hạ thái bình” festival (peace for the country) on stage as the highlight to celebrate the 325th year that Lord Nguyen Phuc Thai chose Phu Xuan (now Hue) as the capital of Dang Trong (Southern region).
