Hue City to operate more electric cars at Imperial Citadel

The People Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province has just approved on the proposal of expanding the operation of electric cars transporting travelers to and around Hue Imperial Citadel. This is considered the next step of the development of electric car service in Hue City since 2009.

Accordingly, 10 new electric cars with the capacity of 14 seats will be added into current crew with 3 major routes, including route from Nguyen Hoang Bus Station to Imperial Citadel and vice versa, route around outer area of the Golden City and another route from Imperial Citadel to Imperial Relics Museum. Moreover, the other 2 cars are also proposed to be operated in inner area of the Imperial Citadel, to bring travelers to all attractions inside this historic place.

The project to use electric cars around the Imperial Citadel has been initiated in 2009, and gained much appreciation from both local residents and visitors. It does not only help travelers better enjoy their trips without discomfort from weather. The cars are preferred by travelers since they are not harmful to the relics as well as local environment.

The Imperial Citadel is a part of Royal City relic complex in Hue. The relic isused to be theworking and living place of Royal Nguyen Family of Nguyen Regime which possesses numerous history and culture values, representing a hundred years of Nguyen Regime in Vietnam.
