Hoi An to host International Choir Festival

Hoi An ancient town, located in the south central coast of Vietnam, has been chosen to host the third International Choir Festival from June 19 - 22 next year.

This cultural event is jointly organized by the People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province and Interkultur Foundation of Germany, directly managed by Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It’s a chance for singers to popularize choral performances, helping administrators to seek out new ways of entertaining people in the time of culture integration.

Hoi An, a World Heritage Site of Vietnam, is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. This is not the first time Hoi An hosts such a major musical event.The first festival, also held in Hoi An in 2011, featuring over 1,000 artists from 11 countries and territories, received great applause from international audiences.

Interkultur is an organization dedicated to the goal of bringing people from all nations, cultures and ideologies together in peaceful competitions and songs. This is an annual event, the International Choir Festival has become a top address for major musical events on a major scale.
