Hanoi to further develop green tourism

Hanoi tourism administration is putting more effort on developing green tourism with the main purpose to protect the local environment and to attain sustainable development of the city.

In fact, the project has been conducted for two years, and unexpectedly positive result achieved is encouraging local authorities to further invest and expand it.

Some green tourism products that have been operated in Hanoi can be listed are bicycle tour to suburb area, Red River Tour and electronic car tour exploring the Old Quarter. Those tours are favored by a considerable number of travelers, particularly foreigners.

Hanoi tourism administration is planning to expand this project to other famous tourism attractions around the city, including Soc Mountain – Dong Quan Lake, Day River, Ba Vi National Park and Huong Son Relics.

In spite of having been popularized in recent years, green tourism is now considered priority in tourist development strategy of Hanoi and many other popular tourism destinations all over Vietnam.
