Hanoi amongst least expensive cities for a night out

Hanoi has been named as the most affordable tourist city in the world offering a reasonable night out for travelers with a total TripIndex cost of $141, according to the world’s largest travel site TripAdvisor.

According to the TripIndex, a room for two in Hanoi at a four-star hotel only costs $84.89 and a round-trip taxi ride about two miles each way costs $4.95. Cocktails and dinner for two are priced at $22.56 and $28.71, which bring a total cost of $141.12 for a night out in Hanoi.

Coming second is Beijing in China, closely followed by Bangkok in Thailand and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Europe dominates the most expensive list with seven cities including London which took the top spot, while Oslo, Zurich, Paris, Stockholm, Moscow and Copenhagen took the next places consecutively.

The international TripIndex destination list comprises key cities from 48 of the 50 countries which receive the largest number of international visitor arrivals – data compiled by the World Tourism Organization.  TripIndex helps travelers see where they would get more value for their money.
