Halong Carnival planned for April 22-30

The annual Halong Carnival is projected to take place in three different locations of Halong City: central area, Tuan Chau resort and Bai Chay beach from April 22 to 30. 

Following the success of Halong Carnival 2011, the 2012 season will continue to place strong emphasis on cultural exchange and heritage preservation. Participants from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh and other countries such as South Korea, Russia, Mongolia and Thailand, to name a few, will surely make the event a sparkling one. The main event will be on April 28 at Bai Chay beach, with 3000 artists performing.

Halong Carnival is part of Halong - Quang Ninh Tourism week, with numerous activities that seek to promote the unique beauty of the province. Halong itself has been recognized by the UNESCO as the World Heritage Site and recently awarded "New 7 Wonders of the World". Detailed program of the carnival will be updated as it gets closer to the week.
