Hai Phong first time to hold Red Flamboyant Festival late June

Hai Phong, the tourist destination of famous Cat Ba Island and Do Son Beach, the only province being licensed for casino business is appreciating its typical flower by a festival held in late June. This is considered the waiting for National Tourism Year 2013 that will be held in the town.

Accordingly, numerous culture and art events such as photo, picture contests about flamboyant, Hai Phong Flamboyant Trading - Tourism Festival 2012, order art performance and bike parade on “Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Street”, opening ceremony of demo walking street, tourism night market and the forth City Unicorn-Lion-Dragon festival are expected.

Red Flamboyant has been the symbol of Hai Phong City for a long time, appearing in poems, songs, paintings, deeply coming in mind of every generation of Hai Phong residents. Besides its official name Hai Phong, it is affectionately called “Town of Red Flamboyant” by Vietnamese.
