Foreign artists to make bolder presence in Hue Festival 2012

Hue Festival 2012 is held under the main theme of "Cultural Heritage combined with Economic Development and International Integration”, which explains the wider profile of international groups, although officials promise there will be no shortage of indigenous activity and celebration.

 

One of the major foreign players in this year has to be Russia. In light of the recent mishap with her tourists due to the collapse of Lanta Tour Co., the Russian authority is seeking to assure that Vietnam remains a top outbound destination for the country’s tourism industry. In speaking with Hue’s authority, Russian consul general Yury B. Masteriy has promised to work with travel companies to attract more Russian tourists to Hue Festival 2012. Russia will also be sending two delegations to the festival this year.
