Finnair to open representative in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City

Finland-flagged airline Finnair is planning to open new representative offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as a part of its expanding project to Vietnam’s market.

At present, representing Finnair in Vietnam are the East Sea travel and Air Service Company, a general sale agent headquartered in Czech. The Finland airline has projected to collaborate with different current airlines in Vietnam, including national Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar and Cathay Pacific from Hong Kong, to operate several routes from Vietnam to Finland and others destinations in Europe.

This new extending action is considered Finnair’s response to the increasing demand of travelers between Europe and Vietnam, as well as the reflection to expedited development of aviation services in Southeast Asia region.

Finnair is regarded as the largest air corporation in Finland, headquartered in Vantaa and mainly operating at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. This is also listed as the second most secured airline in the history of global aviation, with record of no accident or breakdown until 1963.
