The festival is going on for 9 days, from 7/4 – 15/4/2012 in the ancient capital of Hue. Festival Hue 2012 is also the first major event to raise the curtain for Vietnamese National Tourism Year 2012. The theme of this upcoming festival is “Cultural heritage and integration and development – The venue of historic cities”.

Besides Vietnamese art and musical performances, and Hue’s Royal art shows, this year’s event will welcome more than 30 art troupes from all the five continents. World-class artists from these troupes are expected to bring to Vietnam the quintessence of their native cultures, highlighted by special street arts of each nation, which are carefully selected from major international festivals.
