The national flag of Egypt, Egypt Air, is opening new air routes from Vietnam to Egypt in a very near future. These routes include flights from two largest cities of Vietnam, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to some cities in Egypt, predominantly Cairo.

Explaining the reason Egypt Air chooses Vietnam market to penetrate, Youssef Gad, Regional Director of Egypt Air in Thailand and East Asia says Vietnam is one of the most attractive destinations in the world, which is drawing millions of tourists each year.

In near future, Egypt Air intends to cooperate with Thai Airways to transport passengers from Vietnam to Bangkok, where it already has direct flights to, and then use airplanes of Egypt Air to carry passengers to Cairo.

This plan makes Vietnam the 7th market in Asia and 4th in Southeast Asia of Egypt Air, as well as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City of more than 90 destinations in the world that the airline is currently operating on.
