Buryatia opens direct air route to Vietnam

Nordwind Airlines of Russia’s Republic of Buryatia has launched a new air route between the country’s capital city of Ulan-Ude and Vietnam’s coastal central town of Cam Ranh.

Nordwind Airlines of Russia’s Republic of Buryatia has launched a new air route between the country’s capital city of Ulan-Ude and Vietnam’s coastal central town of Cam Ranh. The first flight took off on 28 May using a Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

Founded in September 2008, Nordwind Airlines is a charter airline with its head office in Moscow, Russia. It has opened many direct routes to meet travel demands of visitors to popular tourism sites in China and in Mongolia after its hub in Ulan-Ude Airport was expanded and upgraded.

Next month, the firm will inaugurate two new direct flights to Antalia in Turkey and Bangkok in Thailand. New air services to Japan and the Republic of Korea is also in its agenda.
