Booming number of tourists to Moc Chau this Tet Holiday

Information from administration of Moc Chau tourism area reveals that number of travellers to this destination has increased significantly on the period of this Tet Holiday. It is estimated that there are about 20,000 tourists visiting Moc Chau this occasion, including both domestic and international travellers. Among those travellers, backpackers seem to contribute the highest number.  

 
Furthermore, almost accommodations and hotels in this tourism destination have been reserved for the period from 18 January to 6 February 2012 (25 December 2011 to 15 January 2012 Lunar Calendar), which caused a plenty of difficulty to many other travellers who intended to visit Moc Chau but have not booked resting places yet, to find a proper locations relaxing.
 
In order to solve the shortage of accommodation in Moc Chau this time, administration of Moc Chau tourism region has planned to borrow some houses of local residents to be used as accommodation for travellers, as well as develop the concept of community tourism which is a trendy kind of tourism in Vietnam at present.

Moc Chau has become a favorite tourism destination for both domestic and international tourists in recent years. The place attracts travellers by not only its poetic highland sceneries, but also unique culture of ethnic communities here. This causes local authorities and administration of Moc Chau tourism area to focus more on enhancing infrastructure as well as quality of tourism industry.
