Antique weapon and army costume museum opened in Vung Tau A special private museum of classical army costumes and weapons has just been opened on Hai Dang Street in Vung Tau City last Saturday, 7th January 2012.

A special private museum of classical army costumes and weapons has just been opened on Hai Dang Street in Vung Tau City last Saturday, 7th January 2012. This is a property of an English man named Robert Taylor and his Vietnamese wife, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bong.

 
Exhibited at the museum are about 1000 objects which are mostly army costumes and weapons from different eras along the history of human wars. These exhibits were collected from various countries from Western to Eastern such as France, England, Mongolia, Turkey, China and Vietnam.

Visual context of some well-known battles such as Waterloo are also reproduced on the wall of the museum.
 
This collection initially is an effort of Robert Taylor to satisfy his interests on antique weapon and army uniform since he was a 19 year old boy.
 
No entrance fee is required to all visitors.
