American Scott Ezell to lecture on writing in Hanoi

 

Want to brag about those fascinating mountain ranges that stretch for endless miles, but unable to conjure up the words that can faithfully portray the beauty that your eyes tell you? Look no further, since American poet Scott Ezell is in Hanoi for the rescue. His workshop “Postcards from Home – How to turn travel experiences into poetry” will welcome all aspiring travel poets.
 
The workshop is hosted by Bookworm at the adjacent cooking center in Hanoi (44 Chau Long) on Sunday, 11 December from 2:00 to 5:00pm. During the 3 hours of his workshop, the enthusiastic poet will give participants advices and lecture on how to transform these exciting travel experiences into poetry with the same evocation and passion.

To qualify for admittance, participants must possess good standard of English writing’s elements such as grammar, vocabulary, as well as fluency in speaking.
Interested participants need to register now at Bookworms (44 Chau Long). Registration fee is VND500, 000 before December 3rd, and VND 600,000 from December 4th to the day of the event.
 
Scott Ezell is a multi-genre artist who was born in the US but had spent dozens years of his life living in Asia. His artworks are diverse in ranges and aspects of culture, and most of them reflect his experiences in traveling through numerous countries in Asia and other parts of the world. Vietnamese can make the connection with his poem –cycle “Hanoi Rhapsodies” or his essay “The Road to My Lai”.
