Air Astana (Kazakhstan) to launch flights to Ho Chi Minh City

Kazakhstan’s national flag airline Air Astana has just announced its new implementation of flights to Ho Chi Minh City. This new service is intended to be initiated in October 2012.

In detail, flights to Ho Chi Minh City by Air Astana depart at Almaty International Airports (Almaty, Kazakhstan), transit in Bangkok City (Thailand), and land at Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC, Vietnam). Frequency of this flight is twice a week, with detailed schedule will be announced later to customers.

This is considered the next steps to penetrate aviation markets in Asia of Astana, after its expansion on routes with additional flights from Almaty to Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Delhi (India) in December 2011, and direct flights to Hong Kong (China) in February 2012.

With new launched flights by Air Astana, it is expected that more tourists from West Asia and Middle East are able to travel to other Asian nations, particularly South East and East Asian countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, China or Malaysia.

Air Astana is national air corporation of Kazakhstan headquartered in Almaty (Kazakhstan). The airline was created in 2001, and soon develops to be a leading firm in aviation services in Kazakhstan.
