The 2012 Halong Tourism week will be taking place from April 28 – May 2 with many cultural, arts, tourism and sporting activities.

As part of the week-long event, Tuan Chau International woman’s beach volleyball, national beach sepak takraw and national dance championships are among the most expected. For one who prefers learning about culture: two exhibitions, one on photography and the other on relics and antiques of Halong ancient life held during the week can be wise choices. Besides , the evening of May 1 at Bai Chay beach dedicated to honor and to promote Quang Ninh tourism potential is said to bring about the most festive atmosphere with a biggest ever colorful Carnival.

Entry to the bay is free to all visitors during the festival time, as a way of saying thank you to visitors for voting the Bay as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World.

Since its recognition as one of the new 7 wonders of the world in November 2011, Ha Long has been showing its every effort to attract more tourists. Together with Sapa, this fabulous bay is now the top destination of international tourists to Vietnam.
