Lang Son is a province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. It is reputable as a border province with the terrain mainly being high and medium mountains. It is bounded on the north by Cao Bang province, on the northeast by China, on the south by Bac Giang province, on the southeast by Quang Ninh province, on the west by Bac Kan province and on the southwest by Thai Nguyen province. Lang Son has two international border gates, namely Dong Dang and Huu Nghi border crossing. The province has a city whose name is the same as that of the province and 10 districts. Mountain terrain is a notable feature of Lang Son topography.
