Visit Goethe Centre to meet “Venus in Vietnam”

According to information from Goethe Cultural Centre in Hanoi, an artistic exhibition named “Venus in Vietnam” is taking place in this center (56 - 58 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi) October 3 to 14, 2012. This is a free admission event, like most of the events held by the center are.

According to information from Goethe Cultural Centre in Hanoi, an artistic exhibition named “Venus in Vietnam” is taking place in this center (56 - 58 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi) October 3 to 14, 2012. This is a free admission event, like most of the events held by the center are.

The exhibition shows a collection of installation and sculptural artworks by deceased Vu Dan Tan (1946 – 2009) and Nguyen Nghia Cuong, expressing beauty and soul of femininity. Among those are several works of Vu Dan Tan which have never been introduced to public.    

Vu Dan Tan and Nguyen Nghia Cuong are two Vietnam great artists of installation and sculpture, representing different period of this art in Vietnam. While deceased artist Vu Dan Tan is the man from the past with various well-known pieces about women, Nguyen Nghia Cuong is on his way to prove his talent to contemporary art in Vietnam.
