Phan Thiet prepares for Nghinh Ong Festival
Binh Thuan Province authorities have started preparing for Nghinh Ong Quan Thanh Festival 2012 in Phan Thiet Town, which is projected to take place from 4 to 6 September.
The preparation includes discussion with local Chinese communities the content and size of the festival, additional activities, as well as plan for other aspects such as supportive budget of the local government for the event or the road organization for procession.
Nghinh Ong Festival is an annual event organized by Chinese community in Phan Thiet and other destinations in central area of Vietnam. The main purpose of this rite is to pray Gods for peace and happiness for locals, as well as to create a sane occasion for the community to enjoy.
