  • Francophone Film Festival to be held in Vietnam
    Under the collaboration of a group of embassies in Vietnam and the Francophone organization in Hanoi, the Francophone is going to be brought to Hanoi, Vinh, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City from March 15 to April 17, 2013.
  • Screenings of 5 Japan music movies in Hanoi
    As planned by Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and Hanoi Cinematheque, Japan Music Film Weekend named “OTO|EIGA” will be held in Hanoi from 14 to 16 September 2012 (Friday to Sunday).
  • German Film Festival back to Hanoi for the third time
    Continuing the success of the German Film Festival in 2010 and 2011, the Goethe Institute Vietnam will bring the special event back for the third time from 6 September to 4 October.
  • UK Film Festival in 5 cities of Vietnam
    According to an announcement from British Council Vietnam, the British Council’s UK Film Festival named “London Calling” is expected to take place in five cities of Vietnam, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Hai Phong and Danang City from August 29 to September 11, 2012.
  • 2012 European film festival to kick start
    European movie festival in Vietnam 2012, part of European Days, is taking place in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang on 16, 17 and 18 May respectively.

  • Love is in the air with Japanese Film Festival 2011
    This October and November, audience in Hanoi and Danang will be deeply soaked in love with the love stories coming from Japan at Japanese Film Festival 2011, brought about by The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.
  • 48 hour film project comes to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city
    For the first time in its 10 year journey, Hanoi will host the international 48 hour film project. It will be the second time Ho Chi Minh city has participated.
  • L’Espace to screen films of dance
    A series of films about dance will be screened to honor famous choreographers and dancers such as Philippe Decoufle, Jacques Garnier, Jean-Claude Galotta, Carolyn Carlson, Maguy Marin, Dominique Bagouet and somehow bring them closer to Vietnamese audiences.
  • A night of international short films

  • Yxine Film Fest 2011 calling for submissions
    The second Vietnam’s online short film festival called YxineFF will take place from September 30th to December 12th at www.yxineff.com.
  • BBC to feature Son Doong Cave
    BBC (UK) has just sent a dispatch to the Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee and its Department of Foreign Affairs for permission to make a documentary about Son Doong Cave, which has been recognized as the largest cave in the world.
